18 posts · Joined 2009. #6 · Apr 2, 2012. I own a 3.8 compact 9mm, 4.5 .40, and 5.25 9mm. The slides interchange and shoot on all of them. I have a springer precision trigger in the 4.5 frame and since it was fitted to my 4.5 slide, it is not as good of a trigger with a different slide. That would be my only caution.It also includes a replacement grip-safety spring and reduced weight striker rebound spring. Tried different mags and ammo. Still wont lock on last round. Blasted the slide lock arm with gun scrubber and then gave it a couple drops of oil. Still wont lock open on last round. I plot all my evil, While mowing the lawn! Currently picking out rooftops.This what I used on my first XDm 5.25 front sight. I also made a fat shim of Trex decking to keep the slide from rotating in the pusher frame, and I put brass shim stock between the pusher and the frame to take up the heinous amount of slop. I used a ratchet on the first one. I'll either use a torque wrench or a breaker bar on the next one.

Since I want to try a red dot on my XDM 4.5 9mm Elite, I switched in the 9mm OSP slide and switched the barrels. My alternative was to pay $250-300 for a gunsmith to drill holes into the original non-OSP slide. The only remaining hurdle is that the OSP slide still has suppressor height sights. Ive never replaced handgun sights.
