The performance of my GS-X Mini is more to my preference of a fluid/natural presentation or more colored some would say. Again, to my preference it is simply a much more engaging and convincing sound.Right now I am thinking of using a Squeezebox Touch which has digital out and RCA out. I can send the digital through the schiit DAC and the rca to the speakers. The squeezebox has volume so I can control the volume to the speakers. Setting up the tubes was straight-forward: Put the small ones in the front sockets and the big ones in the back sockets. Plug in the power cord and source and power up. Power is rated at 4.2w into 32ohms and 600mw into 300 – which is to say plenty. Internal PCB is white and components are very high quality. Haven't been able to find any info on what improvements Schiit claims for the 'Plus' version. Also, with the Heresy, Schiit is competing against themselves for the same market space. Seems like that is going to confuse people. As I write this, Amazon has the Magni 3 (not the new 'Plus') on sale for $74 for Black Friday weekend.

The Valhalla 2 plays with my emotions in a way beyond expectation. Its like the T1s just gained in PRAT (pace, rhythm and timing) with the result of more obvious emotion in the music.
