8 posts · Joined 2015. #1 · Jan 18, 2016. 03 lb7 getting p0089 fuel pressure regulator 1 performance code and p0088 fuel rail/ system pressure too high code. truck was dufueling and throwing these codes. i thought it was the fpr so i replaced it but the codes and defueling came back. truck starts and goes fine when plugged in over night.The ECM detects that the signal circuit voltage is more than 4.75 volts for more than one second. Action Taken When the DTC Sets. DTCs P0192 and P0193 are Type A DTCs. The ECM commands the engine to operate in the Reduced Engine Power mode. If you didn’t have a prime problem before the sinister cat filter adapter, that kinda points to the problem right there.

P0094 or P1094 show a slight difference but enough to throw a code. P0093 or P1093 mean there is a large difference between the desired and actual rail pressures. P0087 is just another symptom of the other codes. Usually the p0087 is caused on LLY-LMM trucks by a weak FPRV and can be shimmed for cheap.

On the top of your turbo there will be a little cord coming out, the base of it is wrapped in tinfoil for heat, follow the wire and it will lead back to a plug. I kept getting code U0105, and the ECU fuse would blow every time I would turn the key. Cranks, no start. I isolated it to the wiring harness, and sure enough there was a spot where a metal bracket had worn through the wiring harness.

I had it scanned and it had the codes P0201, p0204, p0206, and p0016. My question is could the the p0201,4,6 codes be related to the p0016 code? I did find a exposed wire that had been taped up before near the ficm on the alternator bracket. P0090 is fuel pressure regulator related, not the rail pressure sensor. You either have a sticky FPR, a bad coil in the FPR or no power to the FPR. you need 5v to the FPR for it to be controlled.
