Feb 19, 2024 · I get an occasional "shift to part" warning on my 2019 High Country. So far I am able to clear it by "snapping" or just pulling the trigger on the shifter. I fear that sometime in the future I will need to take the console apart and do a repair. What does the jumper in the above video do? Does it eliminate the park sensor switch?

Do unplug the rear "black" 1" wide electrical plug at the back of the shift mechanism so you isolate the shifter switches from the car.
