Get a super computer and you can then max out the tether distance, or just run a dedicated server as the game is designed to be run and it will work for you. There are like 100 bugs and crashes right now.

The distance is not affecting it. There is a big 'ol bubble in the sky when you get close to it, and it doesn't teleport you if you hit it, it pushes you. I just posted a guide. You can add a line to your Enging.ini file to fix the FoV on 32:9 ! It will look a lot better. The weapons won't take up so much of the screen. Just note that you may need to lower the in-game FoV after applying this fix if you already adjusted it.
