Do NOT get discouraged by this subreddit or SDN. I've seen some people expressing that this sub and SDN have been kinda discouraging. You're fine. You need to just balance it out with non clinical volunteering. Shadowing is fine for clinical exposure. The only reason why SDN and every other premed does clinical volunteering is because it kills two birds with one stone - it gives you "clinical experience" and volunteering hours. Woohoo.I really doubt most Adcoms have time to go on this forum and answer questions for so many premeds when they have to do their own research, teach, sift through applications, interview applicants, see patients, etc. Not all the thousands and thousands of premeds and the many, many Adcoms are on SDN. Just my 2 cents. 3.
