May 11, 2023 · The notion that Zelda is badly optimised, considering what it's doing, and on what hardware it's doing it, is ridiculous. The thing about "optimisation" is that you can always bring it up as a reason why the game doesn't run at X framerate. If it was a stable 30 FPS, you could say it's not optimised enough because it could run at 40. Man, the intro for this on the stream very briefly made me think they’d somehow convinced Nintendo to let them re-release those Zelda games. This is likely better, though, since I assume it’ll actually have playable controls, lol.

This Technical Analysis really shows why or how can Nintendo really shows beautiful, complex games on their own hardware. Specially if we consider this game was built up for the Wii U, a so-called last gen machine.
The video also conveniently ignores that Skyward Sword sold a million units less than Wind Waker, so that even if Twilight Princess saved the series it'd have needed saving again at that point.
