I'm a commuter, so I'm not on campus too much myself, but my advice is to enjoy yourself! If they give you free time, do what seems fun. UTSA is your answer, no doubt. Texas State (as an institution) prioritizes sports and extra-curricular activities too highly, whereas UTSA seems focused on Tier 1 research institution status. UTSA is much more focused on academics IMO- and the difference in facilities for STEM students is a night and day difference.UTSA isn't a film-focused school by any stretch of the imagination, and the film department is pretty small.
