Hello all. A friend of my family told me yesterday he had a red cub cadet for sale. Its a 782d that looks like new.It has been repainted,new decals and has a three point hitch on it. It also has a 50in deck,disc,plow,front and rear blade with it. He says it runs really good. He wants $2800 for it all. Is that a bad price to pay for all that ...

Steering column will need some mods, but it will work. 54" deck will fit the best if you also use the front axle from the 1864. Not sure how well the D600 in the 782D will pull the 54" deck though. That deck, and all of the other similar newer ones, pull pretty hard. When it gets hot the trans will work when under a load, but will freewheel when not, and the deck will not move. It has had a fluid flush and replacement with a new filter.
