Ladybug armor is an excellent combination with barbarian. You are technically squishier but your health regen goes crazy. Another option is black ox armor for faster charged attacks. I disagree with all the posts I see about the combo system; I think it feels great and raised the skill ceiling in a much needed way. Requiring a conscious effort to effectively use your attack stamina (with 2 handed weapons especially) was a great way to make the fights more interesting as fights with high HP enemies started to feel like just mashing buttons.
