Hey Guys -. I just received the new gray/white XFi Advanced Gateway XB7 (Wifi-6). On the back of the router/access-point I see four ports, but only the fourth ethernet port has a orange sticker/mark. Kept trying to plug the computer into the alternate ethernet ports but would never get full speed or connection. Upload speed would be fine & latency, but download speed was trash.

Choose activate modem and enter either CM MAC or HFC MAC (should be on the side or bottom of your router). The tech support used MTA MAC which is used for phone/voip. They have no clue what to enter.Turn the TV on, and press and hold the 'Xfinity' and 'Mute' buttons on the remote together for 5 seconds (or until the remote light at the top changes from red to green). Enter the first 5-digit code listed for the TV manufacturer. I recently installed an Xfinity XB7 modem/router and I use the ethernet ports to connect a Lenovo 320 laptop running Windows 10. I am using a new Xfinity supplied ethernet cable and when I plug it into the main ethernet port (the one with the orange stripe) I get a blinking orange light. Try hard resetting the device to factory defaults by pressing and holding in the recessed reset button on the rear for 30 seconds. This can sometimes clear up some weird behavior issues. You will lose any customized settings, and they will need to be re-configured from scratch if you do the latter. Good luck !
@RP009 Your comcast modem/router should work like anyother router. To connect the HUE bridge, is just like connecting any other device to a router. Connect it to a free port, and the other end to the HUE bridge.
