What I find documented here is a lack of training/interest displayed by some of the Volvo Service Departments. I have an update to my post on the engine oil check procedure in the XC40. I spoke with a Volvo Service Associate (second time) at my local dealer. He advised me to let the car's oil level sensors do the work of alerting me when the engine oil level is low. I don't have any experience with the Drive-E engine. All my pervious cars used a dipstick.Ahhh, I had this exact problem back in May on my brand-new C40 using my OpenEVSE 40A box -- which I had been using with my old BMW i3. Fortunately I was able to unplug that and plug in the Volvo-supplied charger, which worked perfectly. After a few weeks I tried the OpenEVSE again, and now it works fine. bogiesan. Supposedly the XC40 heat pump can operate from about -7°C to 25°C ( 20°F to 77°F) when heat is requested. If less than that, only the PTC heater is employed which requires more energy. XC40 MY23 colour - opinions. I had placed an order with the local dealer back in January for a MY22 XC40 T5 R-Design and I had settled on the Fusion Red with the black roof. After Volvo cancelled all pending MY22 orders I was informed I was going to be offered a MY23 Ultimate Dark model but the MY23 model does not come with a black roof.
Dec 3, 2022 · C40 looks better, (and polestar 2 even cooler imho), but you pay a price. Cargo room volume in the XC40 is 57.5 cuft vs 48.7 cuft in th C40. I have definitely used that extra volume in my XC40 when camping or loading the family of four up with provisions plus dog for a day trip. The second time I was driving significantly more slowly to not pop it but it popped anyway-I've filed my driveway down but I don't think it's the driveway that's the issue. First Volvo. Mar 13, 2022 · C40 Dash cam. Both our XC40 Recharges had Blackvue DR900X Plus front/rear dash cams. The installs were reasonably straight forward. The rear required a little work to snake through a rubber harness to the rear lift gate. The C40 is very similar, the front is identical, but the rear is a bit more of a pain in the butt.
