1 post · Joined 2018. #1 · Apr 8, 2018. 2011 Chevy Impala. There is a clicking sound coming from behind the right passenger side of the dash. It also sounds like a tapping noise. When I turn the defroster knob it stops, then starts again. When I push the outside air button, it starts and stops again. When I turn the engine off, it starts again.Help. There is no problem with the ac when its on but when I turn it off it makes a knocking noise from the passanger side for about 30 sec then stops.
