Imo if the leaks are true then they should just call it a spin off and not ark 2. My theory is that they are most likely going to keep delaying ark 2 so that they can fix the story and mechanics in ASA. That way it all aligns with what they want for ark 2. Right now ASE story is hard to follow for newcomers unless you watch a video on the lore.

Also, cranking settings down just makes the game more and more CPU bound, it's about finding optimal balance with GPU utilization and CPU time.
