wound infections never cause sickness. weak stomach has no affect on or gets affected by wound infection. only thing wound infection does is slightly increase pain and significantly reduces healing. nothing else nothing more. its never directly life threatening at any point. it indirectly can be a threat since the wound slows healing therefore suffer the debuff longer depending on wound location.
If the wound in medical tab said "infected" this has nothing to do with zombie infection. It just means the wound got dirty and would need longer to heal, unless sterilised with something. Sombie infection is something you don't see via medical tab, but instead about 8 hours after the wound you start feeling queesy. the way i think it should work is that every wound should make you bleed for a period of time. bandaging the wound won't stop it but will make you bleed at a lesser rate. the better your first aid the less of a rate you'll lose health. getting infected means you'll continue taking damage over time for an even longer period. you could totally ...

Having bloody clothing increases the chances of an open wound contracting an infection. A regular viral infection, not the zombie virus. Furthermore, bloody clothing apparently makes it easier for zombies to detect and track you. My first character did not survive a zombie bite, even with antibiotics.
