Each of us are individuals and while others might say they hated the Envision I liked it versus the Mathews V3X. What turned me off about the V3X was the draw cycle.Hoyt has a string gap, which allows the arrow to slip off if the tension is not strong enough. This isn't an issue with Hoyt bows, as they're designed to have a better draw weight than Mathews bows. You can solve the problems in Mathews by adjusting them. It definitely was one of the best bows they made. I had several in that era, including the switchback. I don’t know if it was because of the 7” brace height or how slow it was, but it was an accurate bow that just shot well for me. That being said, I’ve had some good success with the new Hoyt’s as well.
