Remove the rope rotor, washer and pawl from the center of the housing. Pull any old rope that may be remaining from the rotor. Tie an overhand knot in one end of a replacement pull start rope. Feed the free end of the rope through the top of the start pull handle. Pull the knot down tightly in the indention in the handle.
