In February 1984, Jody was eventually kidnapped by Doucet, who took him to a motel in California, where he again molested him as well as sexually assaulted him.
On March 16, 1984, a father named Gary Plauche sought revenge against Jeff Doucet, the man who had kidnapped and raped his son Jody. While being escorted through the Baton Rouge Metro Airport, Gary shot Jeff Doucet to death while being filmed by a news crew.
