A perfect balanced turbo 302 engine that never saw above 5000 RPM would probably hold up pretty well to about 550 reliably. Now the average massive weight crap balance NA engine typically sheets itself around 6500 RPM and 450hp.A-833's can handle pretty much everything you can dish out but you have to be careful as mentioned above. You can do a "slick shift" modification for drag racing, or use the nash-5 speed which is suggested as a beefier unit but needs mods to work in the A body with the trans tunnel and trans mount via Mopar chassis manual vol-9.

an earlier 69-70 block as a rule of thumb can handle more then the rest of the 70s, and those can handle more then the roller blocks. now with that said it all comes down to how well it is built and most importantly how well its tuned. a bad tuned 351 can split at a few hundred HP, i have seen 69-70 blocks put down a little over 700 to the wheels.In like 2002 the drives were beefed up a bit. I know a guy running 600HP through a stock 2003 Bravo 1 for 3 years and he does not baby it. It is on a much smaller boat though. If I were in your shoes, I'd buy a spare drive. They can be had for $1500-$2000 and it's good insurance as to not loose much boating time.The 330 uses a lot of forged internals so it's pretty stout. Your biggest limitation with stock pistons and any kind of FI is going to be due to the compression ratio, which will limit the amount of boost you can add without major detonation issues. That said, about 400 crank hp on stock internals isn't a problem.The most exteme case I know of is a twin blower front enigne dragster. It is a 406 stock block with a cast crank. In excess of 400 passes. 1200HP. You can push a stock block to around 600HP. After that aftermarket caps are needed to keep the caps from moving. Anything over 700HP you are really pushing the limits. . .but there are exceptions. ChrisA rough estimate is 750-800whp. Heavy trq in the lower gears and RPM ranges is what really chews up gears. 800whp/trq will severaly limit the life of the transmission, but all depends on how you drive the car, and how hard and continually you abuse it. It would not surprise me, if a daily driven car could survive even more than 800whp+.
