It's pretty good but the damage might start to get lackluster, and I think it's more suited to PvP. Estoc, hands down. Thrusting swords are obviously poking weapons. Estoc has the best range. You will most likely not hit anyone decent with the Ricard WA very often. So pick Estoc and laugh at any hatemail you might get. And pair it with a BK Shield or Lothric Knight Shield.

The estoc was considered sweaty in Dark Souls 1 because it could be used to turtle behind a shield and had really high critical damage, so it was a favorite for backstab fishing. As to how you get good damage out of the estoc, you will want to get it to +15 which increases the dex scaling to B. To get absolute max damage out of it you'll actually want a proper quality build (27/40 or 40/40 str/dex), as it has a D scaling in str.You should go for +5 Enchanted. It's superior to +10 Magic when Int is higher than Str/Dex. from what i understand the buffed options are going to be higher dmg but only for the length of the buff, thats the drawback. so if youre going to faceroll your invasions then buff i guess. for invaders, proabably the way to go.A slightly different build this time. I prefer the Estoc's longer range over the Rapier's extra damage (Estoc also looks cooler). The long reach also helps when I feel like attacking from behind a shield at a safer distance. I do use the Rapier off-hand so I'm forced to learn how to parry/ dodge faster, so I may switch over to Rapier again. But for now, I like Estoc the best.
