I traded a 43X for a 43X MOS specifically for this reason. Correct, the rail will allow you to mount lights/lasers. I believe a regular slide version with a rail is coming. The 507k is the best bang for your buck but the rmrcc is a great option if your gonna get your slide milled specifically for it.

I want to quickly mention that the only difference between the Glock 43X MOS and the G48 MOS is the length of the slide. The G48 is longer. The optics footprint for both is exactly the same so all the optics and adapter plates mentioned in this article will fit both the G48 and G43X the same.
