Base building by barricading should be as realistic as poss IMO. It should be easy as hell to get into player structures. Theres nothing you can do to a building (authenticly) that will keep people out. Pick axe + sledge hammer will get you into any building in 5-10 mins.An idea is to surround your first fence row with spike wires, then create a 2nd fence row and a 3rd fence row if possible. In your base build platforms for emergency exits N,W,E,S so any time you'll have intruders you'll be able to get out instantly and kill them. He also said the best way to do this is to take some nails, add them to the wall and then take the nails again. This should reset the walls to 45 days again. I think this method works because on our server we have the BuildAnywhere mod where I have two walls build on top of each other.

Can't be done anymore bud, it got changed in the last update, I've even tried getting somebody to place a fence kit whilst I place a tent at the same time to no avail. No problem on PC with the "BuildAnywhere" mod. You have to build the gate first, then place the car tent behind it.
