Dodge durango intermittent starting problem.

Home for the holidays, my folks have an 04 5.7 Hemi. Been thru all the usual water, windshield, pillar drain tube, and cowl issues over the years. Recently took it to a tire shop with a flat. Tire shop replaced the left rear wheel/tire and suddenly exoeriencing intermittent no crank no start nothing but crickets.10. Sagging Headliner. Some of the behavior suggests a battery problem and I note you replaced the battery and the engine started and ran a bit but then died. But the STALLING! ugh - read on... RPM's would consistently fade below 500 upon deceleration (i.e. slowing for turns, traffic lights, etc.), shudder and then stall.

12/15/2016-** PROB SOLVED **** STARTER KEEPS CRANKING ISSUE / ***** I drive 2008 Dodge Nitro 3.7 ** Had same issue, starter kept cranking, had to try 2 or 3 times to turn over. I went to my mechanic late Friday, did a few tests and my Fuel Pump needed replaced. The new pump installed yesterday and, no more issues.
