Jan 6, 2008 · Pop off small door on side wall. There's your box. 4. Pop off both wires/plugs, and unbolt box with 4 12mm bolts. 5. CAREFULLY bend each pin on the box connector about 1mm. You have to figure out how the pins in the plug "handshake" the pins in the box, and basically bend one side to make a firmer "grip". Press the “VTM-4 Lock” button so that the light turns off. Move the shift lever to “D” or drive. Turn the ignition switch to the “lock” or “0” position. Now the lock is disengaged, and the system switches to auto mode. After a few days or normal driving (like the book says), the light was still on. When the check engine light was on, once the engine seemed to get warmed up, the VTM-4 light would come on and the AWD would stop working. As I am taking the car to the mechanic to have the code read, the check engine light goes from solid to blinking.
