Marlin 795 discontinued.
Marlin 795 Trigger re-assembly. I got a replacement trigger guard from Marlin in the mail today. The original snapped in two. The replacement does not included the trigger components, so I had to drift out the pins holding the trigger and spring, plus the small pin holding the safety assembly. I made my first mistake on the safety.

Does anyone know of a speed loader out there for the model 795 .22lr magazines? Either the 10 round oem, or the 25 rnd pro mag? Mag Lula Jr. works very well. There is also there is a post in Rimfires from a few months ago from a guy who invented and demonstrates how to make and loader by bending the metal shaft from a windshield wiper.
Well all i can say is that I am a fan of the Marlin 15y/915yn. They might be a little heavy for the beginning shooter,but I have started my son,2 grandsons, 2 granddaughters, and will 1 more granddaughter on them. Purchased each their own. I Even found 3 of the discontinued Pink camo for the girls, (what a search that was) .

If it's peened (a little dent there) the back of the case can bend and not compress the clay-like medium which is used as a primer. A nice bright flashlight helps if your eyes are as old as mine ;-)

If that is true it is a shame I thought the Marlin bolt actions were solid entry level rifles. I personally prefer them over Remington's entry level bolt actions.
I'd understand if the Model 60 and Model 795 were completely different rifles and Marlin wanted to save money over production costs, but the rifles are incredibly similar.
