Ford f150 stereo not working.

2009 - 2014 Ford F150 - Radio not working.2013 xlt - 2013 f150 xlt . Basic dash radio single cd player. Clock flashing no radio buttons function at all. Can't tune, turn volume nothing . Can't use Bluetooth symbol appears for it but no audio. Seen a few post about reseting it not sure I I did them right but nothing...I just have a "plain" Ford factory-installed AM/FM stereo in my 1994 F150XL Super Cab....it now shows the word "TAPE" in the digital display when I turn the power on....there's also a small "1" preceding the word "TAPE", appearing as a superscript....so, the power comes on, the volume appears to work (based on the increasing/decreasing lights ...It's description is something about an ECS among other things but doesn't mention Mic or compass. Found it in the wiring diagram. The fuse was good when I checked it so I put it back in and I noticed the compass started working. Tried using the phone with Sync and people could finally hear me.
