The premium battle pass has no xp / ashes, its pure cosmetics and premium currency to buy cosmetic. It does give a 20 level tier boosts, but the ashes have strict level requirements so even on a free pass, you will be higher tier than necessary. If you don't want the cosmetic tied to the premium pass, there are no in-game reason to pay for it.
